As Lead Static Equipment Engineer, you will lead the technical oversight of various static equipment including reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, and columns. You will guide a team of static equipment engineers who have been involved with the project since its inception, ensuring technical excellence while maintaining schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical review of vendor documentation for static equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, and standards.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and cross-disciplinary teams to resolve technical issues promptly and pragmatically.
- Provide technical mentorship to the static equipment engineering team.
- Report progress to management and highlight potential risks with appropriate mitigation plans.
- Participate in client meetings and represent the static equipment discipline.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards and schedule requirements.
- Drive practical, solution-oriented approaches to engineering challenges while maintaining technical integrity.
What We’re Looking For
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10+ years of experience in static equipment engineering.
- Proven leadership experience in static equipment discipline on EPC projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international pressure equipment standards (ASME, PED, EN13445, API, etc.).
- Experience with equipment for specialized services (high pressure, high temperature, H2, H2S environments).
- Proficiency with equipment design software (Microprotol, Compress, etc.).
- Strong understanding of material selection for various process applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Practical problem-solving mindset with ability to make sound technical decisions.
- Experience in vendor document review and technical bid evaluation.
