Responsibilities

  • Assessment of the Client requirements, applicable standards and regulations
  • Assessment of the As Built and As Is, if available, documentation
  • Preparation of the list of foreseen electrical deliverables
  • Assessment of the existing 3D model and/or scan model
  • Provide input to the 3D model and follow through
  • Provide input and coordinate with other disciplines (MDR, planning, process, mechanical, weight control, etc)
  • Coordination with the Client
  • Preparation of the necessary data sheets and requisition packages for new instrumentation components (field instrumentation, valves, DCS, telecoms, F&G etc.) to be procured or modified
  • Review the vendors bids and documentation
  • Determine reusability and spare capacities of the existing instrumentation and telecommunication systems,
  • Support Design activities realted to the demolition and modification/new packages including: MTO, Block and connection diagrams, Hookup typicals, Cable list, Cable routing, Main cable trays and penetrations layout, F&G detection layout, Instrumentation equipment layout,  Telecommunication layout, Panel layouts (marking of the existing vendor panel layouts), Block and connection diagrams.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with an engineering company
  • Proficient in Brownfield detailed design activities
  • Familiarity with NAM/Shell standards
  • Expertise in Offshore (Oil & Gas) platforms
  • Skilled in preparing specifications, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for field instrumentation, control/on-off valves, SCADA/DCS systems, and telecommunication systems (e.g., CCTV, PAGA, radio systems, LAN, WiFi)
  • Experienced with offshore platform design
  • Competent in preparing instrumentation detailed design deliverables such as cable lists, block diagrams, layouts, termination diagrams, installation hookups, and loop diagrams
  • Proficient in engineering deliverables including cause and effect and control narratives
  • Possession of offshore certificates (BOSIET)
