In the role of Senior Marine Engineer, you will act as an independent technical specialist within multidisciplinary engineering projects. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality and cost-effective marine systems engineering and design solutions for complex offshore energy projects.
You will contribute to the development, integration, and optimization of marine systems for floating production units, with a strong focus on FPSO projects and other floating offshore facilities. The role requires strong technical ownership during the conceptual, FEED, and detailed design phases.
Job Requirements
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent professional certification) in one of the following disciplines:
- Marine Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Process Engineering
- Naval Architecture
- Higher Seafaring College
- General Operational Technology (AOT) or equivalent technical field
You have at least 8 years of experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design, preferably within offshore, oil & gas, or floating production projects.
Furthermore, you have:
- Extensive experience and strong technical knowledge in conceptual and detailed design of marine and production systems for floating production units (FSO, FPSO, LNG carriers, oil & gas tankers, drilling units, semi-submersibles, or TLPs).
- Strong interface knowledge with related engineering disciplines such as Naval Architecture, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), HVAC, Process Engineering, Technical Safety, and Regulatory teams.
- Preferably experience working with shipyards, marine equipment vendors, shipboard operations, or equipment manufacturers.
- Experience with engineering and operation of LNG carriers or floating LNG facilities is considered a strong advantage.
- Good knowledge of modern marine equipment technologies and system integration, with the ability to evaluate equipment suitability while balancing technical performance and commercial considerations.
- Familiarity with classification society rules such as ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, or Bureau Veritas.
- Solid understanding of Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) standards and offshore regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with technical review and safety methodologies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, HP/LP reports, and SIF reports.
